Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Kate Garraway is unable to spend her birthday alongside her husband Derek Draper as he continues his fight against the deadly coronavirus.

The Good Morning Britain host, who turns 53 today, sadly cannot be with her other half who has been in ICU since March after contracting the bug.

The ITV star has been updating fans of her husband's condition through social media as she looks after their children Darcey, 14, and Billy, 10, at home while Derek remains critically ill in hospital.

On Monday's edition of GMB Kate's co-host and pal Ben Shephard - who is standing in for Piers Morgan after the outspoken presenter revealed he is showing signs of coronavirus - gave a shout out to Kate on-air as he sent her birthday wishes.
