At the end of December last year, the seafood market in Wuhan, China, was bustling with traders and customers. The Huanan Seafood Market, which sold both seafood and wild animals, had more than 1,000 stalls and was the largest market of its kind in central China.
But when several of its market traders fell ill as the world prepared to welcome in 2020 it turned into the possible origin of the worst pandemic the globe has seen for 100 years.
