The number of people who have died after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK has reached 38,376. The death toll has risen by 215 from 38,161 at the same point yesterday, which includes reported deaths from hospitals, care homes, and the wider community.
On Friday, there was a further 324 recorded deaths. NHS England has on Saturday announced 146 new deaths of people who tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 26,529.
Public Health Wales said a further 14 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of deaths in Wales to 1,331.
