Dr Hilary Jones has warned Good Morning Britain viewers that breaking coronavirus lockdown rules for the Easter sunshine could have a "detrimental" impact.

The UK, like many countries around the world, is currently on lockdown in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19. As of Wednesday evening, it was confirmed there were over 60,000 positive cases of the virus in the UK, with over 7,000 people sadly dying.

The government have placed restrictions across the country to stop people making unnecessary travel and trips out of the house.

But while people are allowed to make essential shopping trips and have an hour of outdoor exercise a day, a minority of the public are defying the rules and measures put in place.
