Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan talks 5G conspiracy as GMB's Susanna Reid warns 'don't go there'

Susanna Reid tried her best to shut down a conversation about the 5G conspiracy on Good Morning Britain today, but Piers Morgan refused to listen.

During an "Ask Doctor H" session with Dr Hilary Jones, Piers decided to ask a question of his own. The 55-year-old presenter addressed the recent attacking of UK phone masts amid speculation that 5G technology has a link to the coronavirus.

In different parts of the country, mobile phone masts have been set on fire by arsonists as the theory spreads. Blasting the destruction of the phone masts, Piers asked Dr Hilary about the science behind the conspiracy.

The GMB host angrily wondered why "people have got it in their heads" there could be a link between the coronavirus and 5G technology.
