Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

PIERS Morgan has been forced to apologise to Dr Hilary Jones after shouting over him during a heated conversation. The Good Morning Britain host got worked up in the middle of segment about dental care during the coronavirus lockdown.

Dr Hilary quickly veered onto a conversation about the government's failed purchase of the Tamiflu drug a few years ago. But the 66-year-old could barely get a word in when Piers started loudly speaking over him.

The doctor stood up for himself, which forced Piers to quickly apologise. Piers told him: "Sorry to interrupt you." But people on Twitter were not satisfied with Piers' apology.
