A “healthy and active” dad who beat two serious cancers has died just days after being struck down by coronavirus symptoms. David Alexander Williams, 79, from the Wirral in Merseyside, was rushed to Arrowe Park Hospital last Saturday after struggling to breathe.
He had been attempting to manage his symptoms at home but his wife called 999 after he was no longer able to control his breathing.
After arriving at hospital, it was confirmed he had developed pneumonia and was suffering from sepsis, reports the Liverpool Echo.
And just two days later, on Monday, David tragically died. His family have now paid a heartbreaking tribute to him, with his daughters Nicole saying he “had so much planned”.
