Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Monday that since the application system opened for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit earlier that day, approximately 240,000 people have applied successfully for the emergency benefit.

He also said for those currently ineligible for the CERB, like students or people working 10 hours or less per week, help would be coming to help them as well..
