A construction worker has claimed he had no choice but to go to work despite feeling ill - ignoring strict government orders to protect other people's safety.
The man, named as Dan from Leytonstone, east London, told a radio phone-in he was "having to go against my morals" to pay the mortgage and feed his toddler daughter.
Dan's case was raised by Jeremy Corbyn in Parliament as an example of self-employed people making impossible choices in the coronavirus pandemic.
5million self-employed people have been left without full government support for several days despite a UK lockdown. And many construction workers in particular have been told to carry on going to work.
