This is the first picture of a "highly valued and loved" pregnant nurse who died from coronavirus after medics tried to save her baby.

Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong, 28, underwent an emergency caesarean to deliver and save her baby daughter at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, where she worked.

Sadly she did not survive and died on Sunday. Colleagues have since paid tribute to Mary, who also went by her married name Mary Boateng, on a GoFundMe page set up to help her family financially.

Money raised will help support her husband AJ and newborn daughter, named after her mum. It has not been confirmed whether baby Mary has tested positive for the virus.
