Grandpa Greene's in Diggle, Saddleworth, is well-known for its luxury ice creams and has remained open for takeaways between 10am-7pm during the current lockdown.

The business owner Rick Scholes and his team say they have struggled at times with 'levels of custom that exceeded our expectation.'It is believed a particular problem has been visitors travelling long distances to visit from outside the area.In a lengthy statement issued to the MEN, Grandpa Greene's said they have imposed extra measures including having four 'COVID Marshals' on site, social distancing.
