Staff at Dumbarton home were 'scared' for colleagues and residentsAt the height of the first wave of coronavirus last spring, staff at Dumbarton’s Crosslet House care home said they were “scared” for residents and colleagues. They also feared taking the virus home to their families, according to trade union Unison at the time. The trade union were calling on West Dunbartonshire Council to reveal how many residents had died at its care homes, claiming there was a lack of transparency. They told us last April: “Unison members have fed back that they are scared for residents and their families, colleagues and of contracting the virus or taking it home to their families.“Members feel the government was too slow to act and are unhappy that guidance.
