There have no further deaths from Covid-19 reported to the Department of Health for the second day in a row. The death toll here remains at 1,746.
There have been 11 confirmed additional cases, bringing the total number of cases here to 25,638. Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said the five day average number of cases is now 20.
He said it was not practical to close off all travel to Ireland, as the pandemic could be with us for some time, but "we want to shut down all but non-essential travel".
