A physical therapist from Dublin has paid tribute to the nurses who looked after him while he was in hospital with Covid-19.
In a video posted on LinkedIn, Stephen McDonald described staff at Tallaght Hospital as "the cream of our society". Mr McDonald said that during his 15-day quarantine, nurses had "bent over backwards" for him. "They are working 13-hour days.
They stand there in front of you, wearing all this paraphernalia, sweating with masks on. You're just looking for someone to talk to and they are risking their lives." Describing his experience of Covid-19, Mr McDonald said: "For the first ten days, I didn't sleep at all and hardly ate.
