NEW DELHI : The union ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship (MSDE) Sunday said that it has offered the government 28 national institutions and several of its hostels for quarantine facilities to deal with the Coronavirus spread in the country. “MSDE has decided to make available all National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) and their hostels across the country for conversion into quarantine/ isolation facilities.
The decision was taken by the Ministry to align its efforts with the Centre in preparedness for the pandemic that has led to a nationwide lockdown," the ministry said in a statement.
Besides, it said that around 100,000 emergency medical support staff trained by its institutions and by its partners can also be tapped
