A budding Rutherglen chef has proved she is the meal deal after winning a nationwide cookery contest.Trinity High teenager Jodie Cochrane took top honours at the Springboard Future Chef Competition earlier this month.The Reformer previously covered Jodie winning her regional heat, and then the Scottish section of the contest.
That earned her a place in the final in London, where she wowed the judges with a stunning main course of steamed chicken supreme with stuffed tomatoes, vegetables and Spätzle, served with a wholegrain mustard cream sauce, followed by a delicious dessert of a gluten-free dark chocolate brownie with peanut butter ice cream, caramelised bananas and butterscotch sauce.There were over 15,000 entries to the competition in
