NEW DELHI: India's aviation sector growth will shrink significantly during fiscal 2020-21 due to travel restrictions to contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic, while uncertainties around the duration of these curbs will hurt airline business, aviation consultancy CAPA India said in a report on Monday.
Domestic traffic is expected to decline from an estimated 140 million in FY2020 to around 80-90 million in FY2021, while international traffic is expected to fall from approximately 70 million in FY2020 to 35-40 million in FY2021, CAPA India said in the report titled 'COVID-19 & the State of the Indian Aviation Industry'.
