UK Government steps up the fight against coronavirus. The megalab will create around 1,800 new jobs and will be able to process 300,000 test results a day when it opens early next year, with a location still to be confirmed.
It will operate as part of the UK Government's existing testing network, which includes the Lighthouse facility in Glasgow and a dozen walk-through sites.
