A dad has told about having to learn to read and write again after suffering a stroke while in hospital with Covid-19. Geoff Bodman said at the beginning he had to read pre-school books and described the changes in his body and brain at the beginning as 'frightening'.
He told Wales Online he remembers not being able to move his right arm and spoke about his recovery process. When Geoff, a painter and decorator, woke up for work feeling under the weather in March 2020 he initially put it down to overdoing it at Cheltenham Festival the day before.
But 48 hours later he was so dizzy and sweaty and had such a high temperature that his wife Julie decided to call for an ambulance.
