A dad has scooped a £3.8million lottery win just weeks after losing his job due to the coronavirus pandemic. The unnamed winner, from Adelaide, Australia, was "so stressed" after being made unemployed.

But in a stunning turnaround of fortune, his numbers came up in the lottery. At the Easter weekend he won the "Set for Life" jackpot, meaning he will receive around £10,000 a month for the next 20 years, coming to a total of around £2.4m.

He had also recently welcomed his first child with his wife, and will use the cash to buy their first home. The winner said: "I checked my online account last night and saw I had won.
