Gov. Jon Carney offered the latest information on Delaware's COVID-19 cases. DOVER, Del. - Delaware health officials on Thursday announced two COVID-19 related deaths and 22 additional cases, which raises the statewide total to 165.
Officials reported the death of a 86-year-old male long-term care facility resident of Little Sisters of the Poor Jeanne Jugan Residence in Newark.
The man had underlying medical conditions. This is the second coronavirus-related death in the state. The death of a 66-year-old man from Sussex County was announced earlier Thursday.
In addition, six residents of the Newark nursing home tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Division of Public Health.
