Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Denise Welch broke down in tears in an emotional video declaring she's taking a break from social media after Piers Morgan branded her a "dumb, deluded and dangerous Covid-denier".

The former actress, 62, posted a clip on Instagram showing her crying as she tried to explain her point of view just days after her online showdown with the Good Morning Britain host.

In a spat on Twitter, Piers begged ITV to stop giving her airtime for her "idiotic, ill-informed ramblings". Denise, who called Piers a "liar" during the spat, has now told her followers she's now stepping back from social media.
