Read the transcript of the 22 April 2020 press conference given by Professor Paul Kelly, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, about coronavirus (COVID-19). PAUL KELLY: Good afternoon, and I'm Paul Kelly.
I'm the Deputy Chief Medical Officer here to give an update of the situation in relation to COVID-19 as of today. So firstly, the data - so it's 6649 cases.
Unfortunately, 74 deaths in that group. So, very few cases since 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. So far, only four new cases.
There may be more later. But we certainly appear to be flattening that curve very successfully at the moment. Of those three deaths that occurred yesterday, three extra deaths, there was a 75-year-old, an 80-year-old and a 92-year-old.
