Dr Hilary Jones has weighed into the topical debate of UK schools reopening plan on June 1st. The TV doctor said the risk was "small" in sending children back to school and teachers into the workplace on June 1st amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Tensions have been building over whether or not it was the right decision to reopen schools. Dr Hilary had no qualms discussing the topic openly on This Morning on Friday.
However, the specialist admitted it would be "even safer" if schools waited an extra two weeks before opening their doors again.
This Morning's star cited it was "reassuring" to see Sweden didn't close schools but there was no transmission to teachers or children.
