A Dumfries firm has been playing its part in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.DuPont Teijin Films is producing protective face shields for frontline workers including medical staff and military.The company is providing vital supplies as an essential firm during the crisis along with its normal line of sterile pouches, test strips for testing in diabetes and sterile packaging.However, no new staff have been taken on to cope with extra demand at the Dumfries plant.A spokeswoman for DuPont said: “We continue to operate at the DuPont Teijin Films site in Dumfries, in a manner consistent with our core values and specific guidance from the UK and Scottish Government.“The site produces polyester films supplying vital markets such as food
