A recruitment agency has come under fire for threatening to sack staff if they do not meet increased targets during the coronavirus pandemic.Single Resource, who manage agency staff at the Sainsbury’s retail distribution centre in East Kilbride, sent text messages telling workers they had to improve productivity from 90 to 95 per cent.They then sent letters to staff threatening them with a number of sanctions if productivity was not met, including “the termination of your assignment”.The letter threatened “persistent exceeded break times, unauthorised breaks and poor productivity” with ‘termination of your assignment; reduced numbers of shifts; being moved to another contract’.One fed-up worker told us how staff were warned not exceed break
