The Dutch football season has come to an end after the Eredivisie abandoned the current campaign. It means no side will be awarded the league title while relegation and promotion won't take place.
Current champions Ajax and AZ Alkmaar were both on 52 points, although the Amsterdam outfit were top on goal difference. At the other end of the table the likes of RKC Waalwijk and ADO Den Haag have been spared.
But Cambuur, who topped the country's second tier and had an 11-point gap, won't be able to play in next season's Eredivisie.
A statement from Dutch football's governing body the KNVB claimed "it has become impossible to play out the 2019-20 season".
