And now Norman Cook has swapped DJ sets for shifts waiting tables at his eaterie. The star has owned the Big Beach Cafe in home town Brighton for seven years, but stepped into the serving lark when the pandemic hit.

He says it’s the perfect way to keep busy and help his mental health while clubbing is on hiatus. Fatboy says: “It turns out I make a pretty good waiter – I’m there 11 to three most weekdays.” The Praise You star says a New Year’s Eve livestream was called off, which will leave him fresh for his shift on what is usually the most hungover day of the year for most of us. “I’ll be working in the café on New Year’s Day,” he says. “That’s how latterly I’ve been getting through lockdown.
