Galloway Mountain Rescue Team to climb height of Mount Everest for NHS

Seven members of Galloway Mountain Rescue Team are aiming to climb the height of the Mount Everest to raise funds for care services.The group will attempt to collectively climb nearly 9,000 metres at their own homes on May 9.One of the group, Ross McConchie from Dalbeattie, said: “Dumfries and Galloway Health board endowment fund raises money to make a real difference to patient care in our hospitals and communities.“Critical care has been overwhelmed across the country during the coronavirus pandemic.
