Members of An Garda Síochána have been patrolling popular beaches and beauty spots to ensure the public are abiding by social distancing guidelines introduced to slow the spread of Covid-19.
The move follows complaints from the public around social and physical distancing on some Dublin beaches yesterday. It comes after the Deputy Chief Medical Officer said the country is prepared if there is a second wave of Covid-19 in the months ahead.
There has been increased traffic at beaches, parks and beauty spots around the country after some restrictions were eased on Monday as part of Phase One of the Government's roadmap to re-open Irish society.
