George Floyd's family's lawyer, Benjamin Crump, appeared on Good Morning Britain today and spoke to hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
He explained why he believes that police officer Derek Chauvin should have his murder charge changed from second degree to first degree.
The officer knelt on George's neck for almost nine minutes, causing his death, despite his multiple pleas that he could not breathe.
In the shocking video that showed George's death, onlookers were begging Derek to stop. Some of his fellow officers also suggested Derek move George to a different position, and the officer replied “no,” explained Benjamin.
