A violent and abusive chef tried to claw his terrified wife's and beat her with a table during coronavirus lockdown. Drunk abuser Christopher Carr was said to have flipped out on the defenceless woman after slagging off her curry making skills.
The 27-year-old tasted the food she had cooked for him and dumped it the kitchen sink before subjecting her to a sickening attack.
Carr has now been jailed for 18 months by a judge who said gave his missus “a substantial beating”. Durham Crown Court, sitting at Newcastle, was told the lockdown abuse began after hotel chef Carr complained his wife could not cook curry properly.
