Glasgow taxi drivers die from coronavirus as safety concerns raised over infection fears

Scots taxi drivers are being urged to stay safe after several Glasgow cabbies became “very ill” with COVID-19. The Glasgow Taxi Owners’ Association has told how more than one driver has now tragically died after contracting coronavirus in recent weeks.

They have passed on their heartfelt condolences to the friends and families of the dead drivers, who are part of a close knit community.

In a statement, Glasgow TOA, said: “We are in utter shock after hearing that there are several Glasgow cabbies very ill at the moment with the Covid-19 virus.“Sadly more than one have now passed away.
