Vandals have graffitied a Wetherspoon’s pub urging the chain’s boss Tim Martin to pay his workers. Members of the public saw the messages scrawled on the shuttered entrance of the Sir John Stirling Maxwell pub in Shawlands, Glasgow on Thursday morning.
People used spray paint to write ‘Pay Up Tim’ and ‘Pay Your Workers’ on the bar, which is located in the city’s Kilmarnock Road. The messages come in the light of other graffitied messages which have been left on branches in London. The graffiti comes just a few days after the chain’s founder Tim Martin told staff to “go work at Tesco” instead as the pubs warned them they could face delay over payment.
