The organisers of Glastonbury Festival have donated thouands of litres of hand sanitiser, face masks and latex gloves to front line NHS staff.
The medical supplies were originally meant to be used at the festival in June 2020 but the large-scale event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On March 24, local police forces expressed their thanks to organisers Michael Eavis, 84, and his daughter Emily Eavis, 40, for donating supplies to the the emergency services. "On behalf of the A&S Local Resilience Forum we’d like to extend a huge thank you to Michael & @emilyeavis for providing frontline emergency service workers & NHS staff with thousands of litres of hand sanitiser, gloves & face masks due to be used @glastonbury 2020.
