This Morning host Holly Willoughby expressed concern on Wednesday's show over COVID-19 test shortages. She asked guest Dr Simon Clark how the country would cope during peak flu season if people are already being denied tests as they have run out.
Guest Naomi, who is a teaching assistant, has been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and went to get tested, but after queuing for an hour she was told there were none left, and she and her daughter, who is also showing symptoms, are still unable to get tested and so Naomi cannot go to work.
As coronavirus cases rise, the hosts said it was a worry that tests are so limited, with some people asked to drive 400 miles, even to a hotspot, to get a test.
