NEWARK, Del. - Delaware State Police say a teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with a violent shooting that sent shoppers running for safety at the Christiana Mall earlier this month. Authorities say the incident occurred on April 8 at 6:43 p.m. at the food court entrance to the mall. Troopers say an investigation revealed three male suspects began physically assaulting an 18-year-old as he was leaving the food court.

Aaron Carter accidentally drowned in his bathtub after taking prescription pills and inhaling gas used in spray cleaners, a coroner’s report revealed on Tuesday.The Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner said Carter, 34, had recently taken alprazolam, the generic form of Xanax, and inhaled difluoroethane, a gas commonly used in cans of compressed air, before his death. NEWARK, Del. - What began as a simple hunt for a parking spot, ended with an elderly man being sent to the hospital, and another man in police custody.The violent incident unfolded in the parking lot of a medical complex at 700 Prides Crossing in Newark, Delaware, Tuesday morning.Both the 71-year-old and suspect, identified as 39-year-old Dimitri Taylor, tried to pull into the same parking spot, sparking an argument.As the victim tried to find another spot, police say the suspect chased him around the lot punching his window.MORE HEADLINES:Pleading with Taylor to stop, the victim parked his car and called the police.Taylor then punched the 71-year-old causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground, according to authorities.He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.Police say Taylor later turned himself in, and has since been charged with assault.

DADEVILLE, Ala. - Law enforcement officials have arrested two teenagers and charged them with murder for the mass shooting during a Sweet 16 birthday party in eastern Alabama that killed four and injured more than 30 people.Members of the press from all over the country gathered on the steps of the Tallapoosa County Courthouse nearly 84 hours after the shots were fired at the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio, located just one block away. Investigators say 18-year-old Phil Dowdell, 23-year-old Corbin Holston, 19-year-old Marsiah Collins, and 17-year-old KeKe Smith were killed in the gunfire.

CAPE MAY COUNTY, N.J. - A man in Cape May made another concerning discovery amid a rash of marine mammal deaths along the East Coast this year.The dead dolphin was found washed ashore on Baltimore Avenue Beach near Beach Drive over the weekend.Police moved dolphin from the water's edge to the top of the beach ramp so the Marine Mammal Stranding Center could transport it, according to the beach goer who snapped the photo.It is still unclear what led to the dolphin stranding, but this latest discovery comes almost two weeks after eight dolphins died in a 'mass stranding' on a New Jersey beach.

That might have been the end, if she hadn’t fallen into a vat of liquid chocolate.The dark liquid extinguished her blazing arm, but Patricia Borges wound up breaking her collarbone and both of her heels. AMES, Iowa - A well-preserved sabertooth cat skull found in southwest Iowa may have been one of the last of the species to walk the planet as glaciers receded and temperatures rose, according to researchers.Radiocarbon dating indicates the male cat died at the end of the Ice Age between 13,605 and 13,460 years ago before getting buried in the East Nishnabotna River, according to Matthew Hil, an associate professor of archaeology at Iowa State and expert on animal bones. Hill analyzed the specimen along with David Easterla, professor emeritus of biology at Northwest Missouri State University. PHILADELPHIA - Officials from Pennsylvania State Police and the Philadelphia Police Department say a missing two-month-old baby has been found safe after being reported missing. Authorities asked for the public's help searching for the missing baby and a 26-year-old suspect after they were last seen in the fashion district on Tuesday morning. According to officials, the suspect volunteered to watch the baby but then later could not be reached by the child's mother or family. Police say a witness told investigators the suspect was observed sleeping in a U-Haul in Philadelphia. Information about the missing baby was publicly released by law enforcement on Thursday afternoon. Shortly after Philadelphia Police said the child was found safe and reunited with her mother. No additional details have been made available by police. 

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for missing Ajah Lloyd (left) who was last seen with Kadijah McKee (right) in Philadelphia.  (Pennsylvania State Police)PHILADELPHIA - Officials from Pennsylvania State Police and the Philadelphia Police Department are asking for the public's help to find a missing two-month-old baby. Authorities have also identified a suspect, 26-year-old Kadijah McKee, who offered to watch two-month-old Ajah Lloyd while shopping at the fashion district. Police say McKee was last seen heading north on 16th Street towards Lehigh Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. According to officials, the suspect borrowed her cousin's car saying she would leave a Chevrolet Malibu in exchange for it. The vehicle is a black 2003 Nissan Maxima with blacked-out tinted windows and a Dallas Cowboys sticker on the rear, and the Pennsylvania tag LZJ-0488, authorities say. The car's owner and the baby's mother looked for the Malibu in the location McKee said she would leave it but did not find it, Philadelphia Police say. According to law enforcement, a witness told authorities they saw the suspect sleeping in a U-haul truck parked on the street. Officials say McKee has not responded to calls or social media messages. The baby was last seen wearing a gray sweater with a bear on it, pink tights, a pink and white headband with a flower, and pink and white socks.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Hundreds gathered Wednesday at a candlelight vigil in Nashville to honor and mourn the three children and three adults who were killed in a shooting at a Christian school this week.The downtown ceremony for the victims of the shooting at The Covenant School was somber and at times tearful, as speaker after speaker read the names of the victims and offered condolences to their loved ones. The family of Mike Hill, a 61-year-old custodian who was among those killed, was in attendance, including his seven children.First lady Jill Biden also was on hand but did not address the crowd.

The shooter who killed three students and three staff members at a Christian school in Nashville legally bought seven weapons in recent years and hid the guns from their parents before carrying out the attack by firing indiscriminately at victims and spraying gunfire through doors and windows, police said Tuesday.

PHILADELPHIA - A dog found abandoned and partially paralyzed after being found on SEPTA tracks in Philadelphia has finally found a forever home. The nonprofit organization Philly Rescue Angles made a public cry for help after the dog was found in December. "Someone has literally dumped this poor dog on the train tracks, he has been laying here for two days," the organization said. "He has literally been laying his body down and the train has been going over him." Lucky's spinal cord injury left him unable to use his back legs and an influx of donations helped the organization fund surgery and rehabilitation. RELATED COVERAGEAfter surgery, Lucky began recovery at a foster home as applications to adopt him piled up. Months later, one of the women who helped save his life welcomed him into her family. According to Philly Rescue Angels, the organization received hundreds of applications to adopt him when he was first posted, but once his spinal cord injury was revealed, many people backed out. "This was a long process, but we know Lucky was ghosted by these people for a reason, because now he is where he belongs," the group said on Instagram. The organization says it will continue to financially support Lucky for the rest of his life as he needs monthly medical care, prescriptions and items to help his mobility. A wishlist has been created to help his new family.

PHILADELPHIA - A devastated family is mourning the loss of their beloved son and brother, who was taken from them in one tragic moment at the young age of just 15 years old.Devin Weedon was shot and killed while walking to Simon Gratz High School early Monday morning. Police say he was fatally shot in the chest after a fight with three male suspects.His mom, dad and older sister joined Good Day Philadelphia in an emotional interview to remember the 15-year-old boy, whose promising future was cut short by unnecessary violence."He was an all-around good kid; didn't cause trouble; didn't bother anyone," Devin's mom said.
