Manchester United are entering a key stage in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s planned rebuild. The United manager has earned deserved praise for his five first-team recruitments so far; Daniel James, Harry Maguire (captain), Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo have all shown promising signs in their fledgling Old Trafford careers.
Solskjaer has also reiterated that his Old Trafford overhaul is still very much in its infancy and this summer’s transfer window represents his latest chance to shape his squad.
Club officials initially drew up their plans for the summer in February with young, exciting talents with strong personalities top of the agenda.
