The Health Service Executive will hold a briefing this morning as concerns continue to be raised about the suitability of Personal Protective Equipment for dealing with patients with the coronavirus.
Senior officials are likely to face further questions about the standard of some of the first batch of PPE which has arrived from China as part of a €200m order.
They will also face questions about the capacity of intensive care units, particularly in the east of the country, to cope with the level of cases expected.
