Dallas Kennedy-Willows spends her days in isolation wrapped up in jumpers and her nights sitting by candlelight. Life in lockdown has not been easy for her.
As a long-term benefit claimant, she usually has her monthly budget down to a fine art. But being confined to her one-bedroom flat during the coronavirus lockdown has meant her bills have risen substantially.
Where she would normally spend several hours at the library applying for jobs, she has instead been forced to stay in, along with the rest of the country.
This means the budget Dallas would normally manage on is seriously depleted. She currently has just 7 pence and a few items of food to tide her over until her next Universal Credit payment later this month, she says.
