A couple have been forced to live in a tent after being made homeless due to the coronavirus outbreak. Ashley Khan and Katie Bland were living in a shared house just a few weeks ago, with Ashley working as a painter and decorator.

But the Covid-19 pandemic left Ashley, 37, without a job, meaning the couple were unable to pay their rent and were put out on the streets.

The pair had been homeless before, but they now live in the woods to avoid other people in Bolton, Manchester Evening News reports. "I was working, but the coronavirus situation happened and that led me to being unemployed," Ashley explained.
