A Forest Bank prisoner left his cellmate fighting for life after launching a 'brutal' attack. Inham Khan, 24, hit the inmate with a before stamping on his chest, head and testicles.
Manchester Crown Court heard that the 'ferocious' attack only came to an end when Khan believed he had killed his cell mate.
As the victim lay unconscious in a pool of his own blood, Khan rang the alarm and told prison staff, "you better come because I think I've killed him." His cell mate had to be taken to hospital and placed in an induced coma, after suffering a traumatic brain injury, bleed on the brain and a collapsed lung.
