While transmission rates in the town have been rising rapidly over the last few weeks, the majority of new cases have been limited to specific locations.

Local health teams were pushing to vaccinate as many people as possible in the BL3 and BL4 postcodes and data from Public Health England shows that these areas are hotspots for the virus.

Lever Edge, where the temporary Bolton vaccine bus has been located over the weekend, recorded 91 new positive tests in the week to May 13, giving it a rate of 1032 cases per 100,000
