Eamonn Holmes has opened up about his chronic health problems, including his need for a mobility scooter, which he was recently spotted using in Barcelona with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander.The 63-year-old presenter, who has frequented headlines in recent months due to his shock divorce from Ruth Langsford, is known to have a troubling health history.His medical battles have resulted in him suffering with "chronic pain" for much of his life which eventually led to him requiring spinal surgery.Regardless of the several serious surgeries he has undergone since 2016, including a double hip replacement, Eamonn, who is known for his roles on This Morning and GB News, doesn't seem to be considering quitting his job anytime soon.Here we take a closer look at the TV host's health journey so far.Eamonn revealed his decision to undergo the "life changing" procedure to have his double hip replacement in 2016 after holding off the operation for 30 years.

Writing for The Telegraph, he explained: "Waiting was the worst decision I ever made. After having both of mine replaced seven years ago, aged 55, I haven't had a single regret: in fact, it's been life-changing." The presenter previously had a major surgery to help with the bad pain in his hip, leg and back which he kept secret for over 20 years according to reports from the Mirror.

He opened up about it after Oasis star Liam Gallagher confessed he didn't want the same surgery out of fears of what people would think.

Understanding how Gallagher felt, he shared: "In the newsroom, when we heard that he needed the operation due to arthritis, most of my colleagues laughed.
