An investigation has launched into what caused a house to partially collapse in south Manchester during a thunderstorm.Emergency services were called to make the site safe on Stockton Road, in Chorlton, late on Tuesday night (June 16).Fire crews and Manchester City Council staff were called to secure the property and clear overhanging debris. There was nobody in the house at the time and nobody was injured.Neighbours on one side were temporarily evacuated due to their gas being isolated. They have since been allowed to return after it was deemed safe.Images taken from the scene this morning show one side of the property completely destroyed.Debris, bricks and rubble can be seen surrounding the building. The house has been empty for around 10.
