Inverness boss John Robertson has refused to rule out replacing Daniel Stendel in the Hearts dugout this summer. A clause in Stendel’s contract is understood to allow both the German and the club to terminate his deal should the Gorgie outfit be relegated from the Premiership.Hearts, four points adrift at the basement, are facing that fate after the SPFL were given the power to “call” the league as things stand due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Owner Ann Budge is fighting for league reconstruction in a bid to save her club and the move could also benefit Jambos legend Robertson and Caley, who finished second in the curtailed Championship and would be promoted to a new-look 14-team top-flight.
