Kate Garraway given unexpected eye diagnosis at hospital after coronavirus fears

Kate Garraway was given an unexpected diagnosis after having a worrying problem with her eye. At the start of Thursday's Good Morning Britain, Kate apologised for her appearance and admitted she was concerned about a possible eye infection.

Kate had an urgent consultation with Dr Hilary Jones during an advert break before heading to an eye hospital once she had finished work.

When Ben Shephard asked for an update on today's show, Kate revealed she did not have conjunctivitis as first suspected. Kate explained that lots of GMB viewers were concerned she had symptoms of coronavirus, but she had actually scratched her cornea.
