Dr Hilary Jones has told split parents not to move their children at all as the UK goes into lockdown. Britain was ordered into an unprecedented lockdown on Monday night amid the coronavirus outbreak - with all but essential travel banned.

This has left many split parents in a dilemma as to whether they can both see their kids during the lockdown, which will last for a minimum of three weeks.

Speaking from self-isolation, Susanna Reid said it was important to point out there is a footnote in the new rules explaining that moving children under the age of 18 between parents is an excemption.
