Good Morning Britain medic Dr Hilary Jones has advised split parents not to move their children as the UK goes into lockdown over coronavirus fears.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered Britain into unprecedented lockdown last night as the deadly COVID-19 disease continues to spread across the world.
All but essential travel has been banned leaving many split parents in a dilemma as to whether they can both see their children during the lockdown, which will last for a minimum of three weeks.
Speaking from self-isolation at home via a video link, host Susanna Reid said it was vital to point out there is a footnote in the new rules explaining that moving children under the age of 18 between parents is an exception.
