Stunning Canadian boxer Kim Clavel has stepped out of the ring for the time being to help beat the fight against coronavirus by working as a nurse.
The 29-year-old from Montreal won the North American Boxing Federation flyweight title just a few months ago, and was due to defend it last month.
But the Covid-19 pandemic saw the bout postponed, as well as hundreds of other fights. So instead of moping about or focussing solely on training, Clavel has instead put her time to much better use by going into the frontline as a nurse, focussing mainly on helping older patients who are “scared and feel alone”.
